A Charity to Help Our Neighbors
Hometown Heroes is a Charity whose main purpose is to foster an environment of goodwill, generosity, and encouragement by supporting local communities in times of crisis. We provide assistance with meeting unexpected needs in our communities, and do not discriminate based on ethnicity, gender, or age. The organization provides an opportunity for all of us to give back to our neighbors through professional services, financial help, and advocacy. Hometown Heroes assists those in need to find solutions to problems that appear overwhelming. Our non profit has supported our neighbors through the Restore the Shore campaign, as well as providing assistance for individuals facing homelessness, domestic abuse, drug addiction, disability, and more.
Hometown Heroes is an incorporated organization founded in 2008 to provide assistance to the community at large and help any individual or family regardless of ethnicity, gender and age that suddenly finds themselves in a crisis.
Recent community issues that Hometown Heroes has provided assistance with:
- Domestic Violence

- Assistance for new mothers with nowhere to turn
Behind Our Non Profit
Hometown Heroes is a Non profit organization founded in 2008 to provide assistance to the community at large, and to help any individual or family who find themselves in crisis, without discrimination against age, gender, or ethnicity. We have an all-volunteer Board of Trustees, as well as a full-time Executive Director to grow the organization throughout the United States. Funding is provided by donations from the general public and through fundraising efforts, which in the past have included an awards dinner to recognize individuals who have provided assistance to Hometown Heroes, a miniature golf outing, and benefits for other local organizations.
Restore the Shore and Other Projects
Hometown Heroes was chosen to lead the Restore the Shore Hurricane Sandy relief campaign, and we have raised thousands of dollars to help residents with everything from bills, to replacement furniture, to security deposits on new homes. Besides Restore the Shore, we have provided food for the elderly, assistance for new mothers, help to residents facing disability and homelessness—and, in 2009, an expenses-paid funeral to the family of a woman killed in a house fire.
In addition to delivering necessary funds, Hometown Heroes strives to match our neighbors in need with professionals available to provide pro bono services. We appreciate monetary donations, as well as donations of services like medical care for our neighbors who are unable to afford it. If you are able to donate services or money to Hometown Heroes, please contact us today.
